Scuba Diving Certifications
BELIZE SCUBA DIVING CERTIFICATION
Manta Island Resort is located next to the Belize Barrier Reef which allows us to offer a full range of diving courses. All courses include dive equipment and tools, the required number of dives, and certification cards upon completion (if applicable).
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving course allows you to experience the basics of scuba. During the PADI Discover Scuba Diving course, your highly skilled dive instructor will carefully go over basic concepts and scuba skills that will be helpful should you decide to pursue an Open Water Dive Certification course. This PADI Discover Scuba Diving course includes a one tank dive on the reef with the guidance of an instructor at a depth of between 15-30 feet. It does not certify you to dive in the open sea. No prior scuba diving experience is necessary, but you need to be in good physical health. Candidates must be 10+ years old.
Our Open Water Referral course allows you to complete your dive training in distinct segments. First, candidates who are enrolled in an Open Water Referral course will complete all theory and confined water dives at home with their local dive center. Candidates must have a signed referral form from previous dive instructors or dive centers. Execute the practical portion of your Open Water Referral course with us at Manta Island Resort where you will do four open water dives consisting of 2-two tank dives per day on Glover’s Reef with one of our PADI dive instructors. The Open Water Referral Course lasts a minimum of two days. Candidates must be 10+ years old with no adverse medical conditions to participate in Open Water Referral course.
Important: Please bring your course documentation as well as your medical release form with you to Manta Island Resort!
Get your PADI scuba diving certification with us at Manta Island Resort! The Open Water Dive Certification is the first PADI entry-level certification. Day one involves academics where you will learn dive theory with a handbook and PADI Open Water DVD.
